Mental Health Rehab Programs at Olympus Recovery

Olympus Recovery offers several mental health rehab programs to address the needs of our unique clients. Popular programs include:

First Responder Care

First responders, including EMTs, police officers, and firefighters, have tremendously stressful jobs that can expose them to traumatic events. Unfortunately, many of these brave people develop mental health issues from repeated exposure to trauma.

The First Responder Program focuses on issues like post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), anxiety disorders, and depression.

Supportive therapies can also provide help with:

  • Anger management
  • Rebuilding family relationships
  • Building resilience

Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP)

Aetna mental health rehab insurance could cover the cost of a partial hospitalization program at Olympus Recovery. PHP tends to work well for clients who need a middle ground between hospitalization and fully independent living.

PHP takes place at Olympus Recovery’s comfortable facility, where clients have access to a swimming pool and private rooms.

Treatments take place Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4:10 p.m. Off-site outings to AA and NA meetings provide further support.

Intensive Outpatient Program

Some people have life commitments that make it impossible for them to participate in partial hospitalization programs. Those clients can take advantage of Olympus Recovery’s intensive outpatient program. Those enrolled in the program live independently rather than at the facility. They come to Olympus on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays from 9 a.m. to 12:20 p.m. During that time, they undergo individual and group therapies intended to help them recover quickly.

Legal and Career Services

People with untreated mental health conditions often struggle to maintain relationships and careers. Unfortunately, untreated conditions can also contribute to behaviors that lead to legal troubles.

Olympus Recovery wants to help ensure you have a stable environment after you graduate from your program. To reach that goal, we provide legal and career services that set you up for success.

Alumni and Family Programs

Our alumni program contributes to lifelong success. Our staff members will continue reaching out to you until you ask them to stop.

Our family program applies to alumni and their loved ones. We will reach out to your family members to determine whether they need help. That could mean accessing our mental health treatments, learning how to rebuild trusting relationships, or tackling other challenges.

Treatment Options Available at Olympus Recovery

Olympus Recovery offers diverse therapies proven to help people with conditions like depression, PTSD, and dual diagnoses. Common therapies include:

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

CBT encourages clients to become more aware of their thoughts and feelings. For many people, feelings of distress begin as distorted thoughts. For example, while standing in line at a crowded store, your mind might experience thoughts about how you’re stuck and cannot escape. Those thoughts promote the fight, flight, or freeze response that increases adrenaline production and creates fearful feelings.

In a situation like this, a therapist would coach the client to identify thought distortions and counter them to lower the amount of anxiety and fear they experience. Through practice, clients with anxiety, depression, and other conditions can learn to disrupt distortions that contribute to unwanted behaviors.

Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT)

DBT is commonly used to treat people with mood or personality disorders. It’s also an effective option for clients with dual diagnoses. The modality is an offshoot of CBT, but it’s specifically designed for clients who experience very intense emotions.

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy

EMDR therapy is used to treat anxiety conditions, including post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). The treatment involves recalling a traumatic situation while following an object with your eyes. The technique helps the brain reprocess traumatic memories and contributes to healing.

Experiential Therapy

Not all therapies take place in an office. Experiential therapy encourages clients to get out into the world, where they can build self-esteem, learn to trust others, and express emotions in healthy ways.

Experiential therapy options at Olympus Recovery include:

  • Art therapy
  • Music therapy
  • Poetry therapy
  • Adventure therapy (weekly paddle boarding excursions bring together mental and physical well-being)

Group Therapy

If you or a loved one struggles with mental illness, you need the services of a trained professional. However, you can also benefit from meeting with other people who share some of your life experiences. It often helps just to discover you’re not alone, regardless of the challenges you face. Group therapy can also expose you to new ideas and a supportive group that helps you through your roughest days.
